Darren Raymond
Director/Writer
A graduate of the London Shakespeare Workout, Darren has studied with such legendary personages as Janet Suzman, Lynn Farleigh, Mark Rylance, Phillip Voss and Cicely Berry. Darren has always believed that the written word has a power to transform. His interest in communication through acting/writing and directing has been growing for many years. Darren recently received the Serena Neville Prize for work of excellence through the Concordia Foundation and has had his poetry published in the Guardian. WASTED! is Darren’s third play for Intermission Theatre and his first play Cracking the Whip has toured in Britain and in Switzerland. His short film Shoot and Score was short listed and shown at the Pan African Film Festival and in Los Angeles.

Christoph Wagner
Lighting designer
Christoph is currently Head of Lighting at Soho Theatre. Designs for Soho include The Diver, The Tiger Lillies - Seven Deadly Sins, Moonwalking in Chinatown, Thom Pain (based on nothing) (original Edinburgh and London Production), How to Act Around Cops, How To Lose Friends and Alienate People and numerous cabaret and comedy shows. He has re-lit Rick Fisher’s original design for The Bee at Setagaya theatre, Tokyo. Other past designs include: Bitches Ball (Hoxton Hall, touring), House (Finborough Theatre), Risk (Actors Centre), Perfect (touring), Robin Hood (Riverside Studios) and various corporate events.

Natalie Powell
Designer
Natalie trained in Theatre Design at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Since graduating in 2006 she designed The Elephant Man at Trafalgar Studios 2. She worked as Wardrobe Supervisor for the BBC and Wish Theatre on two number one tours; Tweenies and CBeebies and also worked as Wardrobe Supervisor for The Capitol Theatre on Peter Pan. ASM and Animatronics Assistant for CBeebies Arena Tour. Natalie is so happy to be part of the team on this show.

Ed Olsworth-Peter
Production Manager/Chaplain
Ed is currently the Associate Vicar of St Saviour's Church and Creative Director of Intermission. His work combines care and support of those in the theatre community and with creativity as a writer and director. He is also Chaplain to the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and the Palace Theatre, London. Ed has worked on theatre projects in South America (Street Theatre), Bristol, Tottenham (South Tottenham Schools Festival), Oxford (OUDS and The Trinity Players). In 2004 he co-founded Back2front Theatre, a Christian Theatre Company that has developed the concept of theatre dinner: theatre as conversation. In march 2008 Intermission Theatre presented The Bishops Candlesticks, which Ed wrote and directed.

Elisabeth Tooms
Stage Manager
Elisabeth has always loved creating theatre. When she was a student at Oxford University, she spent as much time involved in theatrical productions as studying. She directed various fringe productions, touring in the UK and overseas. She worked for 20 years for a City of London law firm and returned to theatre work four years ago. She is a founder member and is one of three secretaries of Renewal Arts, an international, multidisciplinary network of artists committed to encouraging spiritual renewal through the transformative power of the arts. Stage management and light design work includes: Lynchpin Productions; Emily Dickinson and I, Cloning Mary Shelley, Intermission Theatre; Cracking the Whip, The Visit, The Bishop’s Candlesticks, Prison Wings and Five Gold Rings.

Owen Lean
Documentary and film editor
Owen obtained a BA in magic, has been performing for pretty much his entire life. Seven years on, Owen is now one of the worlds leading and most respected Street Magicians. He was also one of 20 leading buskers from around the world chosen to take part in the Singapore River Busking Festival in 2004 and has performed all over the world. A member of the National Youth Theatre for eight years, he auditioned for the part of Tom Riddle in the second Harry Potter film and is fascinated by the idea of reintroducing magic into theatre productions. Besides magic, acting and writing, he enjoys filming and video-editing. He has produced a DVD and a 45 minute film of his magic: a brief home-made promotional video of his street and other work can be seen at www.roadmage.com/StreetPromoweb.avi. He submitted an interactive video on the history of illusion as part of his degree course, and has completed three music videos for the Irish punk band OnOff.

Andre Sloane
Documentary/filming
Andre is part of Intermission Youth Theatre and has always enjoyed theatre and the dramatic arts. He would like to focus on Media Studies and in 5 years time would like to be working in television both in front of and behind the camera. He has very much enjoyed making the documentary for WASTED! which is something he hopes to explore further.

Shola Adewusi
Company Mentor
Shola trained at the Academy Drama School. TV credits include: Switch, My Hero, Little Miss Jocelyn, The Bill, Family Affairs, Bad Girls, Casualty, The Scum also Rises, Lewis, several commercials and radio. Film: London and F****ing Hell. Theatre credits, Girls Talk at Soho Theatre, voice of Big African Mama in Crazyblackmuthaf***ingself at The Royal Court, Who Wants to be the Disco King? at Edinburgh, Charmian in Anthony & Cleopatra at The Tabard Theatre, Sarah Jones in Cracking The Whip for Intermission Theatre, Detective in The Bishop’s Candlesticks for Intermission Theatre. Shola also writes, her play Pretty Little White Girls, a thriller about warring siblings, featured in The Lost Theatre’s 2006 One Act Festival.
