The Visit Rob Gillion

Rob was a professional actor for the first fourteen years of his working life before being called to serve in the Church. Rob’s faith, combined with his background as a professional actor/director are the founding blocks for the birth of the creative vision and Theatre Church at St Saviours, named Intermission.

Intermission supports, encourages, nurtures and serves those who work in the professional theatre or in other branches of the arts.

This year saw a new and exciting development in the birth of Intermission’s own professional theatre company under the artistic direction of Darren Raymond. Do keep an eye out for future productions.

Rob’s involvement with the arts goes beyond the walls of St Saviour’s. He is a member of the Archbishop’s College of Evangelists with special responsibility for Arts and Media, Chaplain to The Palace Theatre, London and Chairman of the Actors’ Church Union with responsibility for Theatre Chaplains.

Rob is also a full time vicar of two churches, Area Dean of Chelsea and freelance broadcaster appearing regularly for Terry Wogan on BBC Radio Two. It is with this in mind that we ask you to invite friends to come and give generously to the wonderful BBC initiative for Children in Need.
