Paulette Randall
Paulette’s career to date has been a mixture of theatre directing and television producing-with some writing thrown in. Recent credits include: ANGEL HOUSE by Roy Williams for Eclipse, GEM OF THE OCEAN by August Wilson at the Arena Stage Theatre in Washington D.C., DIAMOND HARD as part of the Almeida Write Festival, CHRIST OF COLDHARBOUR LANE at Soho Theatre WHAT’S IN THE CAT by Linda Brogan, at the Contact Manchester and, also for Eclipse, THE 3 SISTERS, in a version by Mustapha Matura, that opened at Birmingham Rep and went on a national tour.

From 2003-2005, Paulette was Artistic Director of Talawa Theatre for whom she directed 5 productions: URBAN AFRO SAXONS( Theatre Royal, Stratford East), BLEST BE THE TIE (Royal Court), ABENA’S STUPIDEST MISTAKE (Drill Hall), BLUES FOR MR. CHARLIE (New Wolsey Ipswich and the Tricycle) and HIGH HEEL PARROTFISH (Stratford East). Other theatre credits include August Wilson’s THE PIANO LESSON, TWO TRAINS RUNNING, KING HEDLEY II,GEM OF THE OCEAN and the musical UP AGAINST THE WALL(for which she also co-wrote the book). All these were produced at the Tricycle. UP AGAINST THE WALL is currently being re-written for a co-production between Nitro Productions and the Bolton Octagon.

Her television credits include LITTLE MISS JOCELYN, DESMONDS, THE REAL MCCOY, PORKPIE, MARVIN (pilot), 2 series of COMIN’ ATCHA with the girl band Cleopatra, BLOUSE & SKIRT (producer/director), THE CROUCHES and the 1st series of KERCHING for the BBC.

Paulette is Chairman of the Board for Clean Break Theatre Company (and a governor of Rose Bruford College).
